TIMS/pTIMS Questions
6. What is the difference between doing TIMS or pTIMS and taking short courses for each of the IT
certifications individually?
- The short courses are compressed, whereas, in TIMS or pTIMS (especially TIMS), students spend more time, including
more lab time to have hands-on practice and become more familiar with the subjects.
- It would cost half the price to do TIMS or pTIMS than to take short courses individually.
- With TIMS or pTIMS, the TIMS certificate from IIHT itself is valuable, and there is also the tie-up with Sikim
Manipal University, India, for optional further study.

7. Is TIMS accredited by any accreditation body?
TIMS is not accredited by any accrediation bodies.

What certifications are included?
While studying for a TIMS certificate, issued by IIHT, which will take 2 years,
a student can also take IT certification exams. The course of study in TIMS covers,
and is closely aligned with, the requirements and syllabuses of the various IT certifications.
